Dear P.S. 277 Prospective Families,

Welcome to the P.S. 277 community! At P.S. 277 we are guided by our mission, we are proudly “On a Mission to Greatness!” Our top priority is to ensure that all scholars become strong, confident readers - because we know  literacy is the foundation for academic, career, and lifelong success.  This focus, paired with strong instruction in math, is why our students outperformed New York City on the 2024–2025 NYS Reading and Math exams.

We also believe children learn best in a warm, supportive community where they feel seen and valued. Our staff, families, and scholars work together to build a school culture rooted in Joy, Unity, Integrity, Collaboration, and Empowerment. At PS 277 we truly have the J.U.I.C.E.!
